We designed and crafted this stunning set of matching bespoke modern multimedia cabinets for our client’s residence in Golders Green, in North London. We worked closely with them to understand their vision so we could bring their bespoke dream to life. After careful deliberation they chose burr maple wood and each piece of veneer was carefully selected for its grain. The resulting pair of multimedia cabinets are the epitome of modern luxury and destined to be future heirlooms.

Traditionally crafted modern cabinetry

This is an intricate piece of cabinetry comprising a mix of drawers and cupboards have a distinctive bold appearance with a wraparound top and sides. All the doors and drawer fronts have the same handless style and are simply and effortlessly operated with a gentle touch to open mechanism.

Maple burr wood

Maple burrs are highly valued and sliced into veneers for fine furniture. This highly figured wood is prized for its rarity and beauty and is much sought after by prestigious furnituremakers and sculptors. The quilted grain effect, as you can see here, is highlighted by beautiful swirls. Maple is a creamy coloured hardwood with a smooth touch that’s ideal for a contemporary interior. Maple burr wood is formed when the tree undergoes some kind of stress. The burr is like a scar on the outside, but the inside is gorgeous, with unique spiral patterns taking the place of the rings you find in regular maple woodcuts.
