HANDCRAFTED FARMHOUSE IN-FRAME KITCHEN WITH PILASTERS

CRANLEIGH, SURREY

A high-end individual property developer commissioned us to make this handcrafted farmhouse in-frame kitchen whereby the main requirement was to include the turned pilasters as the main feature. This would be a bit of a nightmare to clean but it did give the effect our client wanted. The cabinets were designed and built with in-frame drawers and doors with concealed hinges and had a spray painted finish applied in our workshop.

Traditional method with modern adaptations

This kitchen dresser has a distinctive country style and has been complemented with contemporary satin stainless steel, long bar-type handles. The doors and drawers have been built into a solid wood cock-bead frame. This is a very traditional method of cabinet construction.

Hand crafted wood turned pilasters

When designing your kitchen it is best to extend the kitchen furniture as close to the ceiling as possible. There is no need to waste valuable storage space when you are having a bespoke kitchen made. The sky is the limit as we say. Including display cabinets in the kitchen with glass doors and glass either in the form of a dresser or a simple wall cabinet is always a good idea. As you can see, glass is reflective and can bring the outside in.
