WALNUT STUDY WORK STATION WITH SOLID WALNUT TAMBOUR SHUTTERS
CHALK FARM, LONDON
This semi-fitted study in walnut was finished with lilac coloured lacquered panels. The shutters are made of solid walnut concealing a variety of files and equipment. The lower doors have walnut wood, pull out trays for flat paper storage. Claude started creating bespoke furniture for this family in 1980 and created this bespoke study for the second generation.
Hand crafted solid wood handles
This very contemporary, semi-fitted study desk has been hand crafted from solid cherry wood and enhanced with spray painted, flat surface doors and drawers. We were unable to find suitable handles so we simply made them out of solid cherry wood to match.
Chunky furniture details
The thick, cube-like construction of the cabinetry sets off the lilac doors very well. The solid wood tambour shutters are very practical as they can be left open whilst working and closed to conceal any untidiness.
