This bespoke suite of traditional fitted home office furniture was handcrafted in real oak for our client’s period property in Crawley, West Sussex. The classic oak, built-in furniture was designed to suit their home’s architectural style and décor; and we finished the wood with a golden oak stain and clear satin polish lacquer for added durability.

The made to measure office furniture includes a breakfront desk with customised drawers, built-in glazed display cabinets, bookcases and open shelves. Traditional features include fluted pilasters and an impressive solid oak cornice. Distinctive pewter pull handles add character to all the doors and drawers. Pewter is a precious metal with a warm touch and attractive rustic look that won’t rust or fade.

 Modern essentials for traditional cabinetry

The office is kept clear and tidy with a concealed built-in cable management system. Power sockets are cleverly fitted into the side of the upright pilasters, while dimmable LED lighting is integrated into the underside of the overhead cabinetry providing useful task lighting and ambience. Everything is effortless to use with soft closing doors and drawers.

Fitted corner cabinetry

Custom-made fitted cabinetry can transform an unused corner into attractive, prime storage. The tall, slim oak corner cabinet provides easy access to stored items and optimises space in the room. Lower cabinets were customised to store the family’s collection of board games, while the upper cabinets store large files and boxes. All the shelves are fully adjustable for future requirements.
