This distinctive custom made home office has been crafted in an aviation-style for our client’s residence in Reigate, Surrey. The aircraft theme, inspired by vintage military aircraft such as the iconic Spitfire is reflected in the metal finish of the fitted cabinetry and desk. Handcrafted in the finest quality European light oak, the built-in bookcase unit has been given an exciting design with a random layout of horizontal and vertical shelves. As well as open display shelves, customized cupboards and drawers provide concealed storage for office equipment and stationery.

Custom cabinet with integrated lighting

This solidly constructed display and storage cabinet has fixed, sturdy shelves which give the home office an air of seniority and strength. Also, throughout this unique piece we have integrated a range of instantly dimmable led lighting to give a diffused subtle glow without any glare. Across the top of the cabinet effective pinpoint led lights have been installed.

Aviation-inspired metal finish

The eye-catching aluminium handle-less door and drawer fronts have a jet silver finish. Designed and crafted to mimic the vintage plane’s riveted exterior, the cabinet’s aluminium panels give the piece a unique character, much like the legendary planes they pay tribute to. The cool metal sits beautifully with the natural warm oak and gives the furniture an on-trend retro industrial look. To create a striking contrast, the backs of the doors and drawer fronts have been spray-painted with matt black paint.
