BESPOKE BUILT-IN ATTIC STUDY WITH CHESSBOARD CABINET

KNIGHTSBRIDGE, LONDON

This bespoke built-in attic study was commissioned for an attic room in a historic residential property in London. As a listed building any wall fixings needed to be minimal. However, part of the design brief was to craft and install minimalist floating walnut bookshelves, angled to perfectly fit the alcoves. Our solution in this instance was to mount the shelves on a walnut wood backing panel.

Bespoke walnut desk

Solid walnut wood was used for this wonderful desk. The desktop has been divided into three distinct work areas using three separate leather inlay panels. Translucent frosted glass handles on the drawer fronts make an elegant contrast to the rich tones of the walnut.

Custom-made chess cabinet

In the sitting area of the study, handcrafted alcove cabinetry features bespoke shelving and low-level cupboard to accommodate the clients’ games. The addition of a custom-made chess board on top makes a bold statement in the room.
